Born and raised in Jamaica, Sara moved to Slave Lake at the age of 23 as a temporary foreign worker contracted for only two years. God had other plans for her life though as she would eventually stay and call this beautiful town home. After recomitting her life to Christ in 2015, she was encouraged by one the elders at ALWC to get involved in serving at church and to get connected. Sara realized that God has gifted her a heart for young people and given her the ability to connect to them. Once she realized this, she began volunteering in youth ministry at Abundant Life Worship Centre in 2016 and has faithfully continued serving ever since. Sara believes that God has strategically placed her as the Senior High Youth Pastor to encourage and mentor young people to find and follow Jesus. Though this journey of being a Youth Pastor is new to her, God reminds her in Philippians 1:6 "being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" and cant wait to see what God does!
